Aluminum Air Battery uses high purity aluminum (99.99% aluminum) as negative electrode, oxygen as positive electrode, and aqueous solution of potassium hydroxide (KOH) or sodium hydroxide (NaOH) as electrolyte. Aluminum absorbs oxygen in the air and produces chemical reaction when the battery is discharged.
